Runs on your machine
The caption engine and the NDI/HDMI output are local. The internet carries audio and text, not your show. That video is drawn right here, on your machine. The browser output is the one exception, and it is one you choose.
Clean, never frozen
If the connection drops, the audience output fades to transparent, never a stale caption or an error card left on the big screen.
Never cut off mid-event
Hitting a plan limit warns and auto-bills overage; it never interrupts a live session. Entitlement is only re-checked between events.
Translation never stops
Translation runs on OpenAI, which reads context and idiom like a person. Built for live, informal speech, not word-for-word text. If it ever slows or errors, SCAPTION automatically switches to a backup provider, with nothing for the operator to do.
