This simple

Three steps.
Nothing to install.

1

Project the code.

A QR code on screen. Before the event, if you want.

2

They scan with their phone.

Their own camera. No app. No account. No name.

3

They read. Or they listen.

Each in their own language. 58 to choose from, up to 12 at once.

Before
  • Headsets. One per person.
  • A line at the door to hand them out.
  • One interpreter. One language.
  • A charge per connected attendee.
With SCAPTION
  • Their own phone. The one they already carry.
  • They scan their way in. Nothing to return.
  • 58 languages to choose from. Up to 12 in the same event.
  • No surcharge. Not for one, not for a thousand.
And if they have a questionACCESS

They can
speak up too.

They tap Ask, type it, done. The moderator puts it on screen when it's time. No one has to raise a hand or shout at a microphone that's out of reach. You can also launch live polls — and the answers, along with the rest of the day, are captured in the AI Summary we include for free.

About privacy

Privacy,
no fine print.

The audience doesn't give their name.

The audience doesn't give their email.

The audience doesn't need an account.

Each event is translated separately — never shares history with another.

Audio is processed in Europe, on EU servers (Deepgram).

Your event audio never trains AI models — we opt out on every single request.

Nothing is stored while the event is live. Only two exceptions, both optional and both deleted automatically after 30 days: the AI Summary, if you ask for it, and any audience question a moderator puts on the venue screen, together with poll results.

It's already included.

From the Event Pro plan up, Access includes translation into 58 languages — it's not a separate add-on, and there's no surcharge per language or per attendee, whether it's one or a thousand. On the Accessibility plan (transcription only), the audience still follows the event on their phone, in the original language.

And it comes with custom vocabulary, AI summary, transcript export, and much more.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly comes out of SCAPTION?
A 1080p NDI source with true alpha transparency — your switcher composites it like any lower-third graphic. No NDI gear? Use the chroma-key HDMI fallback instead. There is no burn-in and no browser overlay.
How fast are the captions?
Speech reaches the venue screen as translated captions in about 1.7 seconds (under 2.5 s at the 95th percentile), measured from audio in to caption out — around 0.7 s with translation off. The operator can correct any word before it is shown, without stalling the feed.
How many languages does SCAPTION work with?
SCAPTION transcribes and translates across 58 languages, plus an auto-detect source with code-switching (several languages in one talk). Set any source › target pair per session. Full list: English · Spanish · French · German · Italian · Portuguese · Dutch · Russian · Japanese · Korean · Chinese · Polish · Turkish · Ukrainian · Swedish · Danish · Norwegian · Romanian · Czech · Greek · Finnish · Indonesian · Bulgarian · Slovak · Arabic · Belarusian · Bangla · Bosnian · Catalan · Croatian · Estonian · Gujarati · Hebrew · Hindi · Hungarian · Kannada · Latvian · Lithuanian · Macedonian · Malay · Marathi · Persian · Serbian · Slovenian · Filipino · Tamil · Telugu · Thai · Urdu · Vietnamese · Afrikaans · Georgian · Armenian · Punjabi · Nepali · Traditional Chinese · Basque · Galician.
What does the free trial include?
One hour of full-featured captioning and translation, no expiry, no card required — enough to prove it on your own rig before you pay.
Does it work with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or Webex?
Yes, and with no integration to install on any of them. SCAPTION captions this computer’s own audio, so it cannot tell one platform from another — it never joins the meeting as a bot. Attendees read along at scaption.app/live from a link you paste in the meeting chat, each choosing their own language out of 55, where the platforms’ built-in captions show one at a time. A hybrid event runs both at once: the room’s mixing desk and the call, on one session.

Leave no one out.
